YPE Doors and Windows is proud to have been nominated for GGP Outstanding Achievement Award 2024

YPE owner and Managing Director Andy Boyce has been nominated for GGP Outstanding Achievement Award 2024! This award ceremony, run by Glass and Glazing Products (GGP) magazine, aims to recognise the important contributions of the industry’s installers.

Andy, who ensures the day-to-day running of the business runs smoothly, has been in the industry for 40 years. He is passionate about offering our customers the very best products and installation services at exceptional prices. He personally completes many surveys to get to know our loyal customers.

Andy began his career as a fitter before owning and running a manufacturing facility and showroom. He began YPE 20 years ago when he saw the increased demand for aluminium windows and doors and contacted Origin. He worked tirelessly to become a Premium Partner, a testament to his unwavering dedication to supplying top-quality aluminium products.

In addition to his role as MD, Andy has consistently gone above and beyond expectations, especially during challenging times. His quick thinking resolves supplier issues, preventing delays in installations. Even amid the Covid-19 pandemic, Andy exhibited exceptional leadership. Despite personally battling the virus, he prioritised the well-being of his staff, implemented safety measures, and ensured the company continued to operate. His commitment to the team’s welfare and the business’s continuity speaks volumes about his leadership.

Clive Pelser, who started working with Andy as a teenager and remains with the business 27 years later, comments: “It is fair to say, he is a life-long mentor for me. He has given much of his life to the trade, employing many people in his businesses over the many decades of his career, and I feel he is truly deserving of being nominated for an Outstanding Achievement award.”

YPE’s current showroom in Sutton was previously a derelict building, but that didn’t put Andy off. He fully refurbished the building and designed a fabulous double-fronted showroom, displaying a wide selection of aluminium doors and windows on display to suit both residential and trade customers

Andy has remained at the forefront of the industry. With over 40 years of experience, Andy’s continuous learning, including visits to supplier factories and participation in partner meetings, underscores his commitment to staying updated and improving the company.

In 2022, he researched the best aluminium front doors available on the market and recently became a Spitfire Doors Partner, a brand he believes will become a household name.

Andy says: “One of my ambitions has been to ensure that windows and doors continue to be regarded as architectural products, where homeowners can choose the best possible solution for their home.”
